Lies in Series

The new single, from the upcoming album Infinite Moonlight.

Overture Among The Stars

The struggle between good and evil in a cosmic setting.

The video for the album’s opening track. The struggle between good and evil in a cosmic setting. Grand words for something that doesn’t want to be grand at all. We’re not trying to compete with Stanley Kubrick, just to give you some food for thought with energy and a light touch. Enjoy.

Here Remains The Flame

What remains after an intense love that has ended: anger and passion to be sublimated.

The Truth in Your Eyes

Shot at Mob Studios in Rome.

The video for our latest single “The Truth in Your Eyes”, shot at Mob Studios in Rome (the same ones where Måneskin rehearse ;-). A fun experience, also in view of performing the song at the San Marino 2024 contest, where the band will play this version: shorter than the one destined for the first album and usually played live, to meet the three-minute radio rule. The video had the honour of being featured on the prestigious MEI website dedicated to independent producers and musicians.

No Hope For New Warlords

In war there are no winners, only victims.

An energetic song bordering on aggressive, and a video made to portray not the protagonists – today’s new warlords – but everything their ambitions, and above all their brutal actions, lead to. What is happening in Europe right now is in plain sight, and if there’s one thing we want to say, it’s that in war there are no final winners, only victims. We wouldn’t want to reach the conclusion the video leads to, and we hope reason will prevail over violence and compassion over arrogance. Talking about peace at all costs has almost become a cliché, but what other solution do we have?

Emanuel

Every rock band has a woman in its heart.

What can we say? It’s almost a cliché to say that every rock band has a woman in its heart. Like Toto’s intense “Pamela”, Jimi Hendrix’s heartbreaking “The Wind Cries Mary”, Chris Rea’s refined “Josephine”, the Stones’ romantic “Angie” and so on. Could we have done better? Certainly not, but this one is ours. Capturing in one track the most amazing rock soul a band member met in his younger years was too interesting a challenge not to try. This is the result. We wanted something moving, energetic but not entirely aggressive. Maybe it was too personal to end up on a record, but rock – at least the kind we want to make – has to be as close as possible to the soul and the heart, otherwise you’d better do something else.

End In Winter

For those who only ever have winter in their heart.

Dedicated to all those who, even as the seasons go by, only ever have winter in their heart. It is surely our most intense and melancholic song, but definitely not a self-pitying one. Anyone who recognises themselves in the music and lyrics knows what we’re talking about. Going through a complicated, difficult, painful and frustrating phase is, sadly, common for many. You can come out of it better or worse, but that’s not the point. Not all of us are lucky, and we too are among those who have been through it or are going through it. And as we’ve said, our music is meant to help and comfort the spirit, ours and other people’s.

Another Night Without You

A tribute to Wim Wenders and the sky over Berlin.

A video paying tribute to a great German director who is also a close friend of one of our main reference bands. Don’t know who they are? Well, that’s serious! Anyway, we’re talking about the director of the majestic “Wings of Desire” (“Der Himmel über Berlin”) and the rock band that Vasco Rossi rightly called “the soundtrack of the world”. So, in short: “This is a song Wim Wenders stole from U2, and we stole ’em back ;-)”

Don’t Run Away

The lyric video of our first steps.

This lyric video is a tribute to the very first moment of our line-up. It’s little more than a game, but we think it conveys the mood of the song: tormented, aggressive and at times claustrophobic. The song – more than a demo but less than a final version – was meant to be played on web radios, but to this day we still don’t know how that went (good thing we’re learning to promote ourselves our own way!). It’s based on an early recording of the track with some great vocal harmonies by Paolo, later removed because they were considered too 80s glam. At the time we hadn’t yet met our current rhythm section.

How Do You Dare To Love Me

Live at Soundmakers: our baptism of fire.

Our first music video was a kind of baptism of fire for all of us. Even though we were in a studio with no audience, it was the first time we tested our live impact and our skills all together. The result wasn’t bad at all: the technicians were whistling the song after just two or three takes, and even though we were a bit nervous, it was a lot of fun in the end. It’s the most radio-friendly song we’ve written so far, even though the lyrics are about the passion and frustration of being betrayed and the emotional shock it causes deep inside. Still, it focuses on reacting to such an ugly situation with an energy opposite to resentment and disillusion. That is the powerful force that keeps you going in these cases. The band played intensely but never over the top. We also had great help from Valerio Cesaroni and all his staff. Good material, I think, in the end. (Massimiliano)
