Infinite Moonlight

Infinite Moonlight is a concept album: ten songs, one single story. A man, alone in the night, faces his regrets. Then she arrives, seeming able to save him, and instead she betrays him.

So begins a long descent: pleasure used as an anaesthetic, another woman who isn’t her, an absence that weighs more than any presence, a stage where nobody really listens. Until he looks up and his private pain turns out to mirror a world that lives on lies. Having hit rock bottom, the turning point comes: instead of shutting himself away in cynicism, he chooses to care for others.

It is a record about the night, and about what moonlight lets you see when everything around you is dark.

Tracklist

Ten songs, one night

A story in three acts, from guilt to compassion.

Act I

The wound

01

The River of Regret

Guilt

The artist is alone, late at night, in the room where he rehearses. He goes back over the mistakes of his life: the people he let down, the words left unsaid, the chances he threw away out of pride. Regret keeps him awake. This is the prologue: a man already wounded, and for that very reason ready to believe anyone who seems willing to save him.

02

Bewitched

Seduction and betrayal

She arrives. She is magnetic and seems to understand him like no one else. He lets himself be bewitched, and for a moment his regrets fall silent. But the love she shows is an act: she betrays him and leaves him empty.

Act II

The void

03

The Red Light Show

Pleasure as a lifeline

He throws himself into red-light clubs, but deep down nothing excites him the way the woman he lost did. The dreams of her in his mind feel more real than the flesh-and-blood showgirls.

04

I Need Another Woman

Comparison

He tries to move on and looks for another woman. But every gesture reminds him of the first one, and he keeps comparing. His body is there, his heart is somewhere else. He hurts himself, and his new partner too.

05

Absence

Loss

What remains is a real emptiness, almost physical. The song tells of the small things of hers that are no longer there. She is gone, and she didn't take him with her. It is the most tragic and intimate moment of the record.

06

Throwing Pearls Before the Swines

Artistic misunderstanding

He pours all his pain into music, but the audience doesn't understand. They cheer the choruses, ignore the meaning and take it for entertainment. He finds himself alone even on stage, the only place where he ever felt at home.

07

You Forgot My Name

The unanswered question

He looks inside himself again. He can't understand how she vanished into thin air, how she managed to erase him so quickly while he still carries her with him. There is no anger, only bewilderment. An inner monologue made of questions.

Act III

Looking outward

08

The World's Gone Mad

The world as a mirror

For the first time he looks up and watches the world outside. He sees people running aimlessly, confused cities, people who no longer know what they want. He realises the world is in the same state of confusion as he is. Private pain becomes everyone's condition.

09

Lies in SeriesOut now

The revelation

A bitter epiphany: the whole system stands on an endless chain of lies. Relationships lie, promises lie, the industry that sells emotions lies. Her betrayal was just a small reflection of a much bigger lie.

Broken Lives on the Road

Surrender and turning point: compassion

After the anger, he could shut himself away in cynicism, hate everyone and stop writing. Instead, having hit rock bottom, he understands that others are hurt and deceived just like him. Pain can become a reason to care for others, rather than a wall.

With his heart still in pieces, he chooses to look beyond himself. He writes a song for those who leave a concert happy and never make it home, because they drank and got behind the wheel. It is a song without sermons: it speaks to the person before it's too late and tells them their life matters, that someone is waiting for them. So the message not to drink becomes an act of love towards strangers. The man who wasn't loved decides to love anyway, and his music finally has a purpose that goes beyond himself.
