The band

Brave Hearts Factory

Melodic rock born in Rome in the summer of 2023. Four musicians with different stories and one shared idea: writing songs that go straight to the heart, with the energy of rock and the depth of people who have lived these things for real.

Brave Hearts Factory

Our story

How the factory of brave hearts was born

It all starts with an idea by Massimiliano Rizzo. After years in 80s and 90s cover bands – the Lovecats, a Cure tribute, on bass and vocals, and Hype, a U2 tribute, on guitar – and a solo album, Under Dark Clouds, released during the pandemic, he decides that dark atmospheres have had their time. He picks up his beloved Stratocaster again and looks for a more energetic direction.

He needs a powerful voice, and the first to believe in it is Paolo Delle Donne, former frontman of Urban Steam: a Bruce Dickinson-like tone, gentle as a lamb in everyday life and a lion on stage. Then comes Marco Ceccarelli, a dynamic and precise drummer who brings his experience to Rome from Milan by way of Paris, along with an engineer’s mind – perfect for running the sequencers live.

Bass is the hardest piece to find. After a first year with Steve Mingo, who helped the band take its first steps in the studio and on stage, in the summer of 2024 Alessandro Poddie arrives, an old acquaintance of Paolo’s, with a strong rhythmic and melodic talent built over years on stage. The line-up is complete.

Our roots are easy to spot – 80s new wave, U2 and Simple Minds, Pink Floyd, AOR and 90s alternative rock – but we’d rather you discover them yourself. What we care about is moving the people who come to listen to us.

Who we are

The line-up

Paolo Delle Donne

Vocals

Former frontman of Urban Steam (watch “Under Concrete”). A Dickinson-style voice, energetic and explosive but never pretentious: a true showman.

Massimiliano Rizzo

Guitars · founder

The idea it all started from. From the Lovecats and Hype to the solo album Under Dark Clouds, all the way to the Stratocaster and the turn to rock. He writes most of the band’s songs.

Alessandro Poddie

Bass

In the line-up since summer 2024. Rhythmic and melodic talent, great instinct and a long track record in several bands: the missing piece of the Factory.

Marco Ceccarelli

Drums · sequencers

Years in rock and pop bands, between originals, covers and tributes. Dynamic, powerful and extremely precise. Being an engineer, he also runs all the live electronics.
